7 February 2019: The XXXX Brewery will donate $50,000 to GIVIT in support of Queenslanders affected by the floods in Townsville and North Queensland.
On Monday 11 February, the XXXX Alehouse in Milton will host ‘Nick Cody and friends: A Tenna for Townsville’ in partnership with Triple M, with all proceeds going to GIVIT’s Townsville relief efforts.
“We have been there for Queensland through some of our worst natural disasters, and we want to ensure help gets to those who need it as quickly as possible,” said Queensland Sales Director Pat Donohue.
“XXXX has also enacted a suite of assistance measures for impacted pubs, clubs and bottle shops in North Queensland.
“Our customers are the ones who serve their community, and their venues are often the places where people come together after such disasters to check on each other, share a beer and talk about getting everyone back on track.”
Any Lion Beer Australia stockist in the affected flood zones has access to:
- Extended credit and invoice terms;
- Stock allowances and altered delivery conditions as needed;
- Free cleaning for draught beer systems to get pubs back open as soon as possible.
XXXX is a foundation partner of the North Queensland Cowboys, a partner of the existing and new Townsville stadium, and Queensland’s favourite beer. The Brewery itself is no stranger to floods, with the 2011 Brisbane disaster impacting the iconic XXXX Brewery in Milton.
